Editorial Standards
We publish guides that help real people make real Florida decisions — where to camp, how to launch a boat, what RV fits the roads, what to do before a hurricane. Here is how we work.
How we choose topics
We pick topics based on questions Florida RVers, campers, and boaters actually search for. Reader suggestions, seasonal events, and gaps in existing coverage all drive the calendar.
How we research
Every article draws on a mix of primary sources (Florida State Parks, FWC, NOAA, USCG, Florida Division of Emergency Management, manufacturer specs), owner and operator experience, and on-the-ground knowledge of Florida water and roads.
How we review
Drafts pass through an editor before publishing. Any article that touches regulations, fees, seasons, closures, or safety rules gets a last verified date and a scheduled re-review.
How we handle corrections
If we get something wrong, tell us at the contact page. We correct errors quickly and note the change on the article.
How we handle product mentions
We may mention specific RVs, boats, or gear when they are directly relevant to the article — for example, a beginner pontoon guide may include one editorial example of a pontoon layout. These mentions are chosen for topical fit, not paid placement.
We do not run banner ads, popups, sales countdowns, or price-anchored promotions. We do not gate educational content behind lead forms.
Commercial disclosures
When a mention has any commercial relationship, we say so on the article. If you spot a mention that looks promotional and isn't clearly labeled, please email us and we will review it.
Verify local rules
Florida regulations, park fees, ramp closures, wildlife advisories, and weather change often. Always verify with the official source (FWC, park, marina, NOAA) before you travel.
